About Us

Original B.Boy Foundation (OBBF) is a registered NPC founded in 2017 by Mark Cupido in the Western Cape, South Africa. The foundation was

created to address pressing social issues, such as gangsterism, drug abuse, and bullying – through the power of dance. OBBF provides structured dance programmes, life skills training, and fitness initiatives, primarily targeting vulnerable youth while also engaging adults. Over the years, the organisation has grown from serving five children to over twenty, continuously expanding its reach and impact.

OBBF sustains itself through donations, community fundraising, and self-organised events. It offers mentorship, fitness programmes, and life skills training, ensuring that children receive holistic support beyond just dance. The foundation provides a platform where young people can express themselves, discover new talents, and develop leadership skills.

The foundation primarily works with disadvantaged youth who are at risk of social challenges like gangsterism, substance abuse, and bullying.

While all participants are important, OBBF focuses on those who show leadership potential, equipping them with mentorship and coaching opportunities to become future role models in their communities.
